Webalo just announced its new partnership with Aruba Networks to provide a secure app infrastructure for Aruba Networks’ customers. Webalo’s integration with Aruba Workspace represents an interesting addition and extension of Webalo’s on-going strategy of integrating with vendors in the Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) market. As is the case with Aruba Networks, we are seeing mobile application management capabilities showing up not only in pure-play EMM solutions, but also in the network access and provisioning marketplace where Aruba Networks traditionally plays.
EMM-like capabilities are being built into network provisioning and access management consoles so that companies can not only configure WiFi networks for access by mobile devices but they additionally have Mobile Application Management (MAM) features and ecosystems of applications that run in their containers.
Webalo, now part of that ecosystem, opens a path to line-of-business app deployments and provides customers with a quick-and-easy way to deploy mobile enterprise apps. The pre-integrated Webalo for Aruba Workspace client provides data owners and line-of-business managers with the full capabilities of Webalo to generate mobile apps with no programming, no SDKs, and no MEAP development. Multiple apps can be deployed through the single Webalo client provisioned by Aruba Workspace. It’s a simple, fast, and scalable solution to the enterprise “app gap” that has traditionally slowed development and delivery of mobile enterprise apps.
Webalo’s research shows users want mobile apps that get them the specific data they need to do their jobs. These apps are routine and can be easily generated without programming and without the complexity and risk of custom development. A common, reusable client on the device can be verified once and can provide access to all generated apps and data. An “app infrastructure” that can be dropped into an Aruba Workspace, providing a low cost, fast, and generative process for creating and delivering enterprise data and transactions to mobile devices.
Thus, Webalo’s integration with Aruba Networks provides an end-to-end, out-of-the-box secure mobile app infrastructure that enables customers to quickly generate and deploy mobile apps for their mobile end users.
Over the past year, hundreds of companies have benefited from the generative approach and app infrastructure provided by Webalo through its products, Webalo Cloud (free), Webalo Pro Cloud (SaaS), and Webalo Pro Appliance (on-premise, behind-the-firewall virtual appliance). With the enterprise mobility market shifting its focus and priority to scalable application generation and data delivery, Webalo is investing to make it easier than ever to fit seamlessly into the evolving EMM and, now additionally, the network management landscapes, and has packaged a specialized Webalo for Aruba Workspace client that is pre-integrated, and pre-verified with Aruba Workspace.
